Jesus to return on May 21, 2011

...according to the book Time Has an End: A Biblical History of the World 11,013 B.C. - 2011 A.D. by Harold Camping.

Ironically, the book is the sequel to Camping's earlier work, which stated that Jesus would return in 1994.

And no, I didn't search for the weirdest photo of Camping that I could find. This photo appears on the back cover of his book.

Have we all forgotten the past claims of Harold Camping so quickly? Articles refer to his book that he wrote stating that the world would come to an end in 1994 - but wait! Isn't this the same Harold Camping that wrote a book entitled "88 Reasons Why the Lord Will Return in 1988" and then when that didn't come to pass wrote a sequil "89 Reasons Why the Lord Will Return in 1989"? When will we ever learn and stop listening to this false prophet? The word states that if one prophesies and a thing does not come to pass - Don't listen to them! Seems that many Christians are more prone to listen to a self-proclaimed prophet/teacher with a proven track record of failure rather than read the word for theirself.

Camping did write "1994?". Note the question mark.

He did not write "88 Reasons Why the Lord Will Return in 1988" .

There is not a question mark associated with 5/21/2011.

God is opening up much information regarding time and judgement through the bible. This assures true believers that this date is in fact the rapture. For more information visit and

My great teacher always told me, no one, not one, knows the day/time, however she did love BCamp. She passed before this prophecy. I think she would have been in keeping wiht the old adage, 'be ready to die, at any moment' one knows his date/time, only what differecne does it make to think that you have 3-4 years, you may not even have 3-4 minnutes. Be ready wiht your Master, whomever that may be, for TIME IS SHORT, IN ALL RELIGIONS, THERE IS KNOWLEDGE THAT SOMETHNG PIVITOL IS COMMING, THIS IS OLD NEWS, AND WE ARE IN THE END OF THE LAST OF THE 5TH DARK AGE. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THE END OF THE WORLD, ONLY THE END OF YOU, AND YOUR WORLD.GET READY, AND PARY, MEDITATE, AND FAST, HELP WIHT LOVE, KINDNESS, COMPASSION. THE COLLECTIVE IS AWARE, AND COMMING FOR US ALL.

Forgot to mention that in his book "1994" Harold Camping also mentions 2011 could be a possibility.

In 1994 there was a significant spiritual event. That event was/is called the "latter rain" in which the gospel is being poured out and a great multitude will become saved. (outside of the churches).

camping did not write 88 and 89 reasons why the lord is returning....that is a lie!

did you read time has an end? and we are almost there?

if you read those i think you will have a different outlook on the subject.

it is true Christ is coming, and i believe that camping is correct.

If you read 1Th 5:1-4 then you'll (hopefully) realize that Christ comes as a 'thief in the night' for the unsaved.

The true believers know the 'times and the seasons'.

May 21, 2011 is not the end of the world. Do not forget, no man knows the day that the Lord will return. And that the glory of the lord must cover the earth as the water covers the see. The gospel MUST be preached to every tribe and tongue, and then the end shal come. BEWARE OF THE FALSE PROPHET!!

Christ is coming as a theif in the night for all those who beleive they are saved. For when they say peace and safety, sudden destruction will be apon them.

A bible study that will help you to begin to understand that the true beleivers will know the end of days is to search for 'watch' and 'watchman.'

Did the Lord warn Noah? Did he warn Lot? Who closed the door on Noah's Ark? That is very important as once the door is closed, there is no more salvation. The same applies when the rapture occurs. Many will knock on the door but the Lord will not open the door. What does it say in 1st Thessalonians ch5 v2-6? It says the elect are not the children of darkness and are the children of light and the Lord will not overtake them as a thief. It is quite obvious the Lord will reveal the time to his chosen just as he did to Noah and Lot. (Rev 14:6) And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

(Rev 14:7) Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

May the Lord richly bless them.

How can Jesus be Alpha and Omega and not know when he is returning? That is an impossibility as the Lord Jesus knows EVERYTHING.The Lord Jesus ALWAYS warns his elect. Those that he cames as a thief in the night will face the wrath of Jesus. Point blank. GGBIW

matthew said...

Your question is how could the Lord Christ not know his second coming. I'll ask you another: How could the Alpha and Omega be tempted with sin? After all, Hebrews tells us he was tempted in every way yet was without sin. How can God be tempted? The simple answer is He chose to limit himself so that we would understand the full measure of his Divine Love and Sacrifice. In the same fashion He chose to limit His understanding of when He would return. Simply put, God can do anything He wants except tell lies. Here's a theological question for you. Could he make a burrito so big he couldn't eat it? Just a joke. Anyway, supposedly Camping's belief is in the Authority of Scripture. Christ himself says in Matthew 24:36 that about that day no one knows, not even the angels, or the Son, but the Father only. -- Are we to pick and choose that which we are to believe from scriptures? Christ said it, I believe it, that's good enough for me. How is it that Camping is privy to this info and the Lord Christ through Whom the entire universe was created isn't? Can you imagine the danger in spreading the news that Christ is coming in 94' or 11' or whenever and He doesn't. I'm sure in 93' people put their trust in Camping as a prophet that Lord Jesus would come, only to find out that He didn't. Most likely some fell away from the faith. So there's a 2011 clause in the 94' masterpiece, so what! Maybe he will come in '11. What kind of witness is that to would-be believers if he doesn't? I would argue a bad one. (Deut 18:22) If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him -- I have fear of the LORD but not because someone swears by His coming in 2011. If He comes tomorrow, will you not believe because Camping says '11? 'Nuff said.

Jesus said it would be as the days of No'e when asked when he would return. 1.Jesus warned No'e of the coming destruction. 2.Jesus closed the door of the ark. 3.Only those that the Lord warned were saved in the ark. 4.Once the lord closed the door, no one else was saved. The Lord warned Abraham and Lot of the coming destruction of Sodom and Gomorah.Revelation ch.3 v.3 "Remember therefore how thou hast recieved and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch,I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee." This states if you don't "watch" he will come as a thief. His Elect will know when he is returning. GGBIW

Noah and Lot both continued to live in this world. Days and nights were to continue for years and years from that point because THAT was God's plan. Is that what you wish to do, live in this world? Or, do you want to be swept up in the clouds with the rest of the elect? If I expect jesus could come any day, and He comes tomorrow, or today even, this hour even, then am I caught off guard? Not exactly. I am looking forward to His coming. In, fact He could come at any time to save us from this broken world! People who don't know him on the other hand, people who expect they have their entire lives before them to work, marry, retire, etc., will surely be caught off guard. Camping says "Probable time of Coming: May 11, 2011." Now when the LORD spoke to Noah or any one in the bible does He use the word probably? This man is not a profit. Recall with me, "The word of the Lord is Sharper than any double-edged sword..."; no probablies involved friend. Do you know how many times the word probably or probable is used in the entire bible with regard to prophecy? Big fat 0! Jesus has warned all of us ahead of time through the Gospel of truth (Luke 21 for example) to watch and pray and, more or less, the events that would lead up to His coming (signs of the times). THAT IS OUR WARNING! In your answer to me you still haven't addressed how Christ himself, while on earth at least, did not know the time of His coming. Do you think the Scriptures are in error?

Harold camping can speak for himself. The word "Know" in the hebrew can mean "experience". By what I read in the Bible, His chosen will know as they are children of the light and not of the darkness. His Elect will know and they won't need me to tell them when that is, I'm certain the Lord will reveal that to them.As for Harold Camping, He says to trust no man's interpretation of the scripture, to ask the Lord for the Wisdom to understand his Holy Bible.I have to agree with him on that. He may very well be the Lords Prophet. Time will tell. GGBIW

In Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

The jury is still out as the term no man refers to unsaved man. the angels are clear, the Son is the big deceiver as the Capital S is in vertually all translations yet not God Breathed. In II Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;, Instances of Jesus as the Son is Modified as the Son of God, or Son of man. Also, If son refers to the son of perdition by being capitalized that in itself is an abomination being in the holiest place (The Bible). finally the angels in heaven would be followed by angels not in heaven referencing the Son as the son of perdition.

The Father in John 17:21, That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. Here you can see the Father the Son, and the believers are One.

This is Greek. The jury is not still out. For centuries people have attempted to predict when the Lord Jesus would make his second coming, but to no avail. Recall even a short while after His glorification there were certain sects of the church who believed He had already made his return. All I know is on 21 May 2011 when someone says look there he is, I won't believe it.

(Matthew 24)23At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. 24For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. 25See, I have told you ahead of time.

This passage alone show we are not supposed to know the time. This is dangerous business friends.

Those that say he will come as a thief in the night face sudden destruction as they feel peace and safety beforhand. They are the children of darkness and not the children of light. Why does Jesus say in Revelation ch3 v3 "If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come upon thee as a thief, and thou wilt not know what hour I will come upon thee". Those not watching is who he comes as a thief. Those watching he will not come as a thief. They will know just as Noah knew. GGBIW

matthew said...

Again, If you expect He can come at any moment (of course He can, He's God) you are not caught off guard when He does. Hence "watch and pray." See, He as already warned His elect. Let's put this into practice. Let's say I ask you to come over to my house. You say, "okay I'll be over sometime soon, I don't know when just watch for me." Am I then caught off guard when you show up at my house? Maybe soon to you isn't the same as soon to me (especially if you consider a thousand years soon and I think a day is soon enough). Man it's probably really important that i watch for you. Maybe I won't fall asleep or put my headphones on so I can receive you properly. Savvy? Seriously, Why do you find fault with what the bible says when it says plainly "about that day no one knows"? The greek is very, very clear about that - marginally more clear than Her Majesty's Tongue of 16whatev. All of these passages you've listed thus far are true in accord with God's perfect, inerrant will. But we don't bend God's word to suit our own desires or pick and choose that which we are to believe to make a certain subset true (no matter how much we want to believe it) because of a very miniscule detail called truth. Let us not forget "the Scriptures cannot be broken"!! And you still haven't answered my burrito question;)

Anonymous said...

Unsaved man could care less if and when our Lord will arrive. We the saved will be watching when he arrives. The saved who had the calendar of time revealed to them, must proclaim their findings. Yes, their is a calendar in the Bible, seek and you shall find.

OK, what is meant by the following verse?

Job 24:1 Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?

How do you reconcile that with 'know' in Mat 24:36?

Does 'know' and 'day' and 'hour' refer to a chronological time or do they refer to experiencing judgment itself? Bear in mind that Christ as the Son of God had not gone to the cross and experienced judgment (i.e. judgment day, hour of judgment, to know judgment) at the time He spoke those words.

And I agree with you - the bible is true and God did not write it to be easily understood (1Cr 2:13, Isa 6:9).

GGBIW said...

I've stated that his Elect will know. It is the Lord that reveals to his chosen. If I quoted a day would you believe because I said so? I think not.You concede the Lord will reveal to his Elect that day. If you are his chosen you would not be asking me a true or false on a date you question as the day of his return. You would already know. Trust no man's interpretation of the Bible, including Harold Camping. He says that himself. I have researched that day and I will add I believe the Lord has revealed the very HOUR of his return to me. It's all in the Holy Bible for you to find out. Ask the Lord for wisdom to understand what Jesus means in his Word. GGBIW

matthew said...

Yes, I have. And I'm not asking you so I can be clued in somehow to the date of His return. I should of thought this would be clear to you by this point - obviously not - only so that I and the world can know you and your interpretation of Scripture are false when that day comes to pass. I believe this is wrong. I believe you are wrong. You will see on that hour that you are, in fact, not correct and "in error because you do know know the Scriptures or the power of God." The bible says this very explicitly. If you read between the lines of Scripture you are and will continue to be deceived. Once again and for the last time in regards to "no man will know the day or hour":

no man

ουδεις adjective - nominative singular masculine
oudeis oo-dice': not even one (man, woman or thing), i.e. none, nobody, nothing -- any (man), aught, man, neither any (thing), never (man), no (man), none (+ of these things), not (any, at all, -thing), nought

I should think you are included in this category, 'no man', as am I, your mother, your brother, every other anonymous comment on this silly and misleading blog.

If someone says, "God told me you are a steamed carrot." Should I believe him though Scripture says plainly we were created in God's image?

"See, I have told you ahead of time" says the Man.

Harold is really a false prophet, a fact which Jesus said in Matthew 7:15-20

I'm not in a hurry for Christ to return because none of us is deserving of salvation so none of us knows for sure that we are saved! We are all filthy rags to God and only by His mercy can we be saved. It's amazing that he will find a relatively few good people to save from the 7B people on earth. Each of us better come to him praying for mercy that he might save us even though we don't deserve it at all.

The Bible is true. A true prophet is one who's "predictions" are always true. If even one "prediction" is false, the person is not a prophet. Therefore, Harold Camping cannot be a true prophet, but indeed a false one.

My Word tells me that "No one knows the day nor the hour that Christ returns."
I AM CHRIST'S ELECT, CHOSEN BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD. HE IS MY EL SHADDAI, MY LORD, MY SAVIOR, MY ALL. I believe the Word (who IS God.) I believe HIM over any person on earth. HE tells be to be prepared. And, so, I AM.
I pray you are prepared as well. And not for a SPECIFIC DATE. Do not be fooled. God is outside of time.

Thank you Matthew for the wise words you posted. I looked this up because I was listening to the radio while I was sleeping last nigh to what I thought was a Christian station. I was awakened and heard May 21, 2011. I couldn't believe someone would dare put a time on Christ's return. So I had to look this up. I praise God for the discernment to know this teaching does not come from the Word of God.

IPet 3:20

And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth [person], a preacher of righteousness , bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.

This verse reveals Noah to be a preacher.

Genesis 7:4

For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

Here we know the preacher of righteousness new the date.

Genesis 7:11

In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

Here the Bible gives the exact date of the flood.

II peter 6,7,8

Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

8But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

For more than 20 years Harold Camping extrapolated the year 4990 BC as the year of the flood. Further note in the Jewish caledar the seventeenth day of the second month in the year 2011 is in fact May 21,. Verse eight above says to be not ignorant, and it is seven thousand years after the flood.

I Love Harold and believe he has done a great work for the Lord if not for the Holy Spirit using Family radio and Pacific Garden Mission Unshackled I would not of know of True Salvation through Jesus Christ...
As for his end time prediction of May 21st 2011 just like his 1994 prediction it can not be for according to scripture:
Matt 24:36
“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
Mark 13:32
But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
1 Th 5:1-4 the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up
Rev 16:15 Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”

No one knows the day and hour it is stated twice to make that emphasis but do I believe we are living in the end times...
2 Timothy 3:1-4
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

I believe it is coming soon we need to watch and continue to spread the Gospel while it is still Day...

Mark 13:8
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows.

Mathew 11:27

All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

This verse gives exception to the "no man" debate of Mathew 24:36, and Mark 13:32, if the Son reveals the Father to an individual you are removed from the "no man" catagory.

Luke 10:22

All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

Here is another verse illustrating the exception.

Gordon said...

What does Matthew 11:27 have to do with Jesus telling us that no one knows the time of the end accept the Father.

Mathew 11:27 Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. 27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Jesus is telling us that no one knows the Son accept the Father nor does anyone know the Father except the Son and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him...
Remember Jesus was with the Father, remember even the demons were aware of this when they proclaimed this about Jesus being the Son of God...

In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. 22 All[a] things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.”
Again it is stating that no one knows the Son except the Father and the Father except the Son and who he wishes to reveal him... It does not state that the Father has told the Son when the end time will happen because Jesus states....

But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

I Thessalonians 5:1-4

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.

A careful read of verse 4, you can conclude for yourself if the day will overtake you as a thief. If the Light of the world takes you out of the darkness, praise God, if your still seeking, you will find.

And there will be famines, pestilences,[b] and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and will deceive many. 7 But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet. 8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles.[a] These are the beginnings of sorrows.
9 “But watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. You will be brought[b] before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them. 10 And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations. 11 But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate[c] what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. 12 Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. 13 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. So what I want to know is this:

when May 22, 2011 dawns and Christ hasn't returned and the world hasn't ended, will good ole Harold confess his sin of false prophesying and give up his unbiblical radio show? Because if he truly believes the Bible, then he must acknowledge that he was wrong, and people shouldn't listen to him anymore. I know I don't.

It is very easy to have disbelief in your heart. After all we as humans are far from being perfect and our pride often gets in the way. We can easily disregard Harold Campings teachings as being far fetched. The question then needs to be asked if Mr. Camping uses bible reference to back his claim about May 21 2011 being the day the believers will be with GOD in heaven. What is it that your truly affraid of? Do you want him to be wrong? Do you love this world more than the thought of being with the Lord eternally? Remember how the people in Noah's day were. They chose to go on living there sinful lives despite Noah's warnings. And we all know what happened. God has shown us in previous times in history that he has given warnings to the people of the world before his wrath would come.

In the last days "Man" will plunge into spiritual darkness and CHRIST will come to them as "A Thief Of The Night" For those people who do NOT watch. Where do we watch? We watch in the "BIBLE". Where you will find "CHRIST" for spiritual truth. In the book of I THESSALONIANS 5:1-9 - The "True Believers" shall know "Time and Judgment Process of God" ...God is the same "Yesterday" and "Today" and he will do nothing but revealth his secret unto his prophets and every prophet is a "True Believers"...They are God chosen people who will blow the "Trumphet" in the last days to prepare for his coming to warn the whole world the "Impending Judgment" that will come upon this earth on 5/21/2011 A.D...

For those people who wants to be in a spiritual darkness "let it be so" and let it be done...The whole world will be the witness to these final event and God will prove them wrong!....

1] But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

3]For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

4]But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. YE, ARE ALL THE CHILDREN OF LIGHT, AND THE CHILDREN OF THE DAY: WE ARE NOT OF THE NIGHT, nor of DARKNESS. [ELECT OF GOD]

6]Therefore, let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

7]For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

8]But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of Faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ...

Let thy will be done Oh, God! So the scriptures might be furfill...Who so ever hath an ear, let him hear, whoso ever hath an eye let him see...The First will come Last and the Last will come First...To God Be The Glory and let thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven...

No man comes to Jesus unless the Father Draw him . It states that the Lord will send strong delusion to the non elect in the last days.I'm sure that the people of Noah's day ridiculed him as he built the Ark over 120 years. No rain fell on the Earth in those days so as he warned the people I'm sure they thought of him as people think of his elect warning the World today. Only the Lord can change a man's heart or reveal his Holy Word to them. Jesus closed the door of the Ark. Once the door was closed, those that did not heed Noah's warning perished. The same will occur on that Great Day of the Lord's return. Once the rapture has occured there is no more salvation and those left behind will suffer 5 months of the Lord's wrath and perish as the door has been closed. GGBIW

First off, the verse that says that ‘no man’ knows has to be compared with the verse that says “none righteous, no, not one” (Rom 3:10). Can we take that statement at face value? Is no one righteous?

We know that no one is righteous unless God makes him righteous. So, someone can become righteous and then it follows that perhaps the true believers can know the time of Christ’s return.

Next, are we to believe that the Father knows something that the Son does not? It certainly isn’t talking about ‘time’ in verse Mar 13:32 because in Job 24:1 we read “Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?”

Brothers and Sisters, Mar 13:32 is talking about the experience of judgment and not of the time of Christ’s return. To understand this, you have to understand that God died before the world was created (Hbr 4:3, 2Ti 1:9, Rev 13:8) and was raised as the Son of God (Rom 1:4) and all things were created by the Son of God (Col 1:13-16). Please read these verses and think about the fact that Christ had not gone to the cross at the time that He had said ‘neither the Son’ in Mar 13:32. He suffered death as God, was raised as the Son of God and then lived His life in this world as a demonstration of what He had done before the world was created (Col 2:15, Rom 1:20). In essence, He suffered punishment of that ‘day and hour’ twice.

Pro 19:19 A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver [him], yet thou must do it again.

I like to say he is a false prophet but through 4 years of indepth study and comparing and checking the scripture, I must amazed how God has truly reviewed his truth to me by his holy spirit.

I have found out that all the brothers and sisters I told about 05-21-2011, they just refuse to listen yet they themself do not put time to study the word of God. I pray and cry for them. It will come to pass as Jesus says on Luke 14/16-24.
16 Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: 17 And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. 18 And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. 19 And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused. 20 And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come. 21 So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind. 22 And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. 23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. 24 For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper. Brothers and sisters, please do not be arrogant and stiffneck, listen and read the word of God.

I've calculated the timeline myself here:

Check These Verses CarefullySee if you can follow along with the above link. When one calendar patriarch died, the next was born. This is the same phenomenon that occured with the 430 years that Israel spent in Egypt following the line of Levi.
When you figure out the calendar (as above) and then look at ALL of the proofs that God has given, it's amazing. For example, from April 1, 33 AD when Christ hung on the cross, to May 21, 2011 is 722,500 days inclusive. That's (5*10*17)* (5*10*17) = 722,500

The number 5 has to do with the atonement which is salvation AND judgment. David picked up 5 smooth stones (1Sa 17:40) and killed Goliath - salvation for Israel AND judgment for the Philistines. The number 17 has to do with 'heaven' (ex. 17 shekels of silver as "the right of inheritance" in Jer 32:8-9) and the number 10 is completeness.

When something is repeated in the bible, it means that God will surely bring it to pass.

Gen 41:32 And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; [it is] because the thing [is] established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

This is why you read Jesus saying 'verily verily".

Tying it all together, when the work of the atonement is finished, God will bring all of the true believers to heaven and that day will be on May 21, 2011. Everyone left behind will enter judgment day with no further hope of salvation.

This is a time to be dead serious about what you believe in and where you put your trust. I say this for myself as well as anyone else reading - don't trust your pastor, Harold Camping, myself, or anyone - erase everything that you have known and study the bible. Look at what is being said in this thread and study the verses.

Newscrazy, in a real sense He has already come. He has come to remove the candlestick (Rev 2:5). And this is to fulfill a biblical principle that judgment began with the house of God (1Pe 4:17). There is a separation taking place and the test is the same test that we had in the garden of Eden- namely, will we trust the Word of God?

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

I am very confused by all of this back and forth biblical insights and information. If Jesus comes as a "thief in the night" then to me that means that he will come as a thief to the unprepared the unsaved. I am not sure that it means that He will come on a a particular day as in May 21st 2011 which seems to be very correct according to the biblical calender and studied in depth by Harold Camping. I am a bit concerned about Harold Camping's prophecies as I hear that he has said before that end times were to be on certain past dates and didn't occur, but I also understand that he did use a question mark after those dates. This tells me that Harold vehemently studies the Word and came up with those dates with those possibilities. If the Seals are now being opened then it makes sense that May 21,2011 is probably the date that Jesus will return. I can see how studiers of the Word are confused. It does say "no one knows the day nor the hour not even the angels." My understanding is that Jesus IS coming so be prepared that not any of us should be caught off gaurd. It could be tomorrow, next week, next year or May 21,2011. We need to be prepared by being saved NOW, that way when Jesus does return we will be ready to go with him. I am still confused about the day and hour. One bible scripture says we will know the "general" time of the end but not exactly the time or date. The fig tree analogy) I believe that the important thing is to be READY NOW for that day and time. Should we get hung up on the date and time? I am not sure at this point. I hope it is coming and I hope that it will be that date and time as many believe as I want to be with Jesus but when I read in the bible about False Prophets coming and speaking like a lamb but are wolves inside it frightens me to put my faith in any "man". I would love to believe in Harold Camping's teachings because he does seem to be very knowledgable and quite accurate. Is it a sin to not believe in a time or date of the End or is it enough to believe that God will take us home on that day and time without believing in that particular day or time? If we believe that Jesus is truly coming then Jesus can come in the next minute and all true believers will be saved. I would apprectae any help any one can give me and to you who has used the "F" word out of anger I tend not to desire to beileve anything that has come out of your mouth. God nor Jesus would use the "F" word even if God is angry. This shows me without a doubt that you need to do some more praying for yourself and folks reading to pray for you as well.

Please someone explain this!

After Thought!

Could it be that Harold Camping is being used by our Lord God to get people to delve into the "Word" more?

If Harold is a dedicated servant of God then all of his former prophecies that did not prove true could be a result of error on his part to understand the biblical time line. Nothing more or less.

If Harold Camping is not a true dedicated servant of our Lord God
and is in fact a servant of Satan then it would be understandable if on May 21st 2011 Jesus does not return. Harold is truly convincing in his teachings. I imagine the devil Satan is as well but to a true believer Satan has no power over. The bible does say something to the effect that even the elect could be DECEIVED if Jesus did not intervene! I will search the scripture for where it is and come back.

Just some thoughts!

Here it is:

"For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect." Matthew 24:24 (NKJV)

If Harold is a false christ then I believe that he would be claiming to be Christ which the bible specifies as one of the traits of a false teacher, i.e. Hitler, Moon, Karesch, etc. Harold does NOT do this, which places my mind at more ease.

Hello again,

A last thought and I do hope someone comments on my questions and concerns.

There seems to be much confusion over this "thief in the night" quote in the scripture. Again, is it enough that we are ready NOW? For if we are ready NOW then certainly May 21st 2011 will NOT come "as a thief."

Could it be that "thief in the night" is being used in the Holy Bible as a statement to unbelievers to heed a warning to get saved and right with the Lord NOW?

If unbelievers can see that the time is approaching is it enough for them to just repent now and not get so hung up on the date?

I want so desperately to believe May 21st 2011 is the exact date and time and yet I myself have some suspicion about it. It is not that I don't believe it, it is just that I can see both explanations. One literally and the other as between the lines. One scripture that is very convincing is the one that says that no ones knows the day or hour, no not even the righteous but to him that God reveals it to. I believe that verse does clarify a lot! This makes Mr. Camping much more believeable, correct and authentic! I do hope so! I so hope so!

Thank you,

Will someone tell me how they understand 2 Thess. 2:1-12?

To me, the key to a lot of the "end of the church era" teachings are connected to understanding that the bible had a:
1- limited understanding up to the point of before christ's return.

2-in preparation for the final end (Christ's Return), much of the previous limited understanding of things take on a different meaning. Such as:

1 - Knowledge will increase, Daniel 12:4. This clearly states, a change will come NEAR THE END.

2 - the Church, once the holy institution of God, will be ruled by Satan (2 Thess. 2:1-12) specifically vs. 4.

3 - during this period when the devil will take his seat in the temple, Christ takes himself OUT first (see vs. 7 esp. near the end of this verse).

4- during this brief time (right before Christ's return), the devil will deceive those into thinking they are worshiping Christ, but He's not there!

5-God allows this delusion to take place b/c there is not a love for the truth. The truth being perhaps, a readiness to consider, that the old status quo, might change. AGAIN, Daniel 12:4 says right before the end, KNOWLEDGE WILL INCREASE. It's telling us, to look for some valuable in information.

I don't know if Camping is accurate about 2011 or not. I do, however, think, that the bible teaches:

1 - before christ returns, churches will go apostate. That's BIG.

2- That 2 Thess. is talking about a specific time near the end.

No church I know of is looking for the mass Apostasy that the bibile talks about.

If you aren't looking, then you won't see it when it happens.

The first step might be to seriously consider, will there be a time when the church itself will be in a state of apostasy, and if so, is that a key sign to guage Christs return. If so, then many of the other scritptures that talk about "latter times" Final Days, Near The End, take a different tone altogether.

The Lord is revealing scripture to the Elect before the Great day of our Lord. It seems by your post that it is so with you. The date has been given to his chosen. Watching is reading the Holy Bible. The more I read It asking for wisdom to understand, the more the Lord grants me understanding. Trust no man's interpretation of the Holy Bible. If you are a child of the Light he will reveal the day of the rapture to you from the Holy Bible. The only people he will come as a thief in the night are the children of the night as stated in Thessalonians. All the refrences are already on this blog. To God be the glory. GGBIW

to those who believe that the Lord will return in 2011 please explain this:

1) so you are saying that if you do not believe that 2011 is truly the day when the Lord will come, that means that your not the chosen ones and will not go to heaven, even if you truly have accepted Christ as your saviour?
2) how bout the blowing of the trumpets in Revelation?I dont think that has happened yet, I mean the human race is supposed to be at the brink of extiction when all of this will happen? they killed like a third of the human race and that hasnt happened yet, or are you saying that will happen in the next 2 years?
3) how bout the Two Witnesses? they havent arrived yet. and also doesnt the Bible clearly state that after the rapture, those who are left here can still be accepted into the kingdom if they are faithful during these times? (look up rev 14:13)
4) how bout the anti-chirst? if you truly believe in 2011 why hasnt we appeared yet and control the world?
again..2011..thats in 2 years...and i find it hard to believe that all of these things will happen in the next 2 years and how you said that there will be suffering on earth for 5 months after the rapture and you CAN NOT enter the kingdom of heaven but the Bible states otherwise, "I heard a voice from Heaven, 'Write this: Blessed are those who die in the Master FROM NOW ON (speaking after the rapture in my knowledge);HOW BLESSED IS TO DIE THAT WAY!" 'Yes, the Spirits says, "and blessed rest from their hard. hard work. NONE OF WHAT THEY HAVE DONE IS WASTED; GOD BLESSES THEM FOR IT ALL IN THE END." (rev 14:13)
pretty much the whole book of revelation will be off then if you are so sure that it will happen in 2011, unless these 2 years left we will see alot of crazy things happening.

I do not decide who is or is not chosen of God and I do not decide who goes to Heaven. As far as ‘accepting Christ’ goes, no one can ‘accept Christ’ in a way that will save them unless God has saved that person.

It is my belief that the blowing of the trumpets in Rev 8 has not happened yet. That will begin on May 21, 2011. Also, bear in mind that it is parabolic language and not to be taken literally. For example, the ‘third part’ in the bible often refers to those who identify as God’s people (Zec 14:9). Stars falling from the sky are no longer in the sky reflecting light as believers reflect the light of the Gospel (Gen 22:17, Mat 5:14-16), so those ‘stars’ were in reality never true believers.

3) how bout the Two Witnesses? they havent arrived yet. and also doesnt the Bible clearly state that after the rapture, those who are left here can still be accepted into the kingdom if they are faithful during these times? (look up rev 14:13)

I gather you’re making an assumption that Rev 14 follows Rev 11 and so chronologically the events in Rev 14 must take place after the death and resurrection of the two witnesses in Rev 11. The Bible wasn’t written chronologically and neither were the events in Rev. Each Chapter must be read on its own.

It is my belief that the Bible teaches the two witnesses represent all of the true believers as the Gospel was brought throughout the Church era. The true believers are sent out two by two (Mar 6:7). The two witnesses in fact are described as “the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth” (Rev 11:4) which candlesticks were defined in Rev 1:20 to spiritually represent the churches and the olive tree spiritually represents a true believer (Psa 52:8).

The witnesses are described in Rev 11:6 with language associated with Moses and Elijah. Moses (who brought the Ten Commandments on tablets of stone) represents the ‘law of God’ and Elijah is commonly used in the Bible to represent the Prophets. The ‘law and the prophets’ are the Bible (Act 24:14) and that is what the two witnesses bring during the church age. They are faithful to what the Bible teaches and bring the true message.

The witnesses have been killed. ‘Killing’ in the Bible is the equivalent of being thrown out of the church in Jhn 16:2. The corporate churches and congregations (not to be confused with the invisible church which is the bride of Christ) are no longer faithful to the teachings of the Bible. On May 21, 1988 which was 1955 years to the very day that the church age began on Pentecost Ad 33, the church age ended. The true believers are commanded to leave the churches and the apostasy in the church continues. For example, the ‘gifts’ that are given in the following verse:

Rev 11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

There’s only one true gift and that is the gift of salvation which is entirely up to God and nothing we do earns or contributes to that in any way whatsoever. That is, however, contrary to what is taught in the churches. The churches teach things like you must become water baptized, or accept Christ, or make a profession of faith, or become a member in full communion, etc. to be saved. The church basically has taken on the roll of ‘getting people saved’. Come make an altar call today or be water baptized, etc. and you can get saved today. This is totally false teaching and I believe these are the fake gifts that are described in Rev 11:10.

Any way, getting carried away so I’ll go on to the next question…

4) how bout the anti-chirst? if you truly believe in 2011 why hasnt we appeared yet and control the world?

The antichrist is referenced in 1 Jhn in the following verse:

1Jo 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

Alive then and now could not be a ‘person’ because they would have to be nearly a couple thousand years old; however, we do know that Satan rules as ‘an angel of light’ (2Cr 11:14) and his ministers as ministers of righteousness (2Cr 11:15). I believe the Bible teaches that Satan as antichrist who is ‘the man of sin’ (2Th 2:3) is extremely active in the churches today.

Good night and may God bless everyone reading.

The end of the Church Age?

I have been studying the bible and searching for more clarity on the "end of the Church Age" teachings. I don't go near Camping's 2011 teachings, as they are too difficult for me, but my bible studies about "signs of the times", have lead me to think there WILL BE a time when the Churches will go apostate, and that satan will rule there. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, appear to teach this most clearly, and their are other passages in the bible that appear to say that 'many in the church in THAT DAY who think they are saved, will not be.'

Since you seem to think this occurence takes place as well, could you share your understanding of this occurence and share the scriptures that helped you determine this too?

I think if anyone who thinks or believes they are a christian, could get a handle on whether there comes a time in which the churches, in mass, will be apostate, AND.....that this occurence falls in concert with preparation of Christ's return, then the Camping teachings of 2011 won't be the focus -- but rather:

1 - is there a general dessertion of christian belief in the churches as a precursor of Christ return

2 - is that time now

3 - is there ever a time when the church [ the physical structure ] will NOT be a place of haven for true believers

To me, if these teachings could be clarified once and for all, then much of the debate about Camping, 2011, other doctrines, etc., will pale in comparison.

Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains:. What is the spiritual meaning of what the Lord is speaking of in Daniel and his call to flee Judea when Satan is standing in the holy place to go to the mountains? What was it that Daniel saw in his vision of the end times that made him sick and the Lord sealed until the end times? If you have a concordance and can search the Holy Bible everywhere Judea,Judah and mountain is, asking God for wisdom to understand, God will answer your question if you are his elect.God bless you. Regarding Vmorr's question on God's judgment of the institutional churches.

The short version is that God has finished using the institutional churches and congregations to bring His message. IMO the bible teaches that the Holy Spirit is no longer blessing the word for those under the authority of a corporate church. In essence the vineyard (the external representation of God’s kingdom on earth) has been destroyed (Isa 5:1-7). The same thing happened to the Nation of Israel when Christ died on the cross, the veil of the Temple was rent in two (Luk 23:45). In our day, there is a strong delusion amongst organized religion which essentially is binding those under the authority of the churches to believe lies (2Th 2:11). The churches were to start on milk and then grow (Hbr 5:12-14). These are the doctrines that all of the Christian denominations have misunderstood:

Hbr 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Hbr 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

The churches have substituted false teachings for the above doctrines. Their teachings are not true to the Word of God. Granted, some denominations are worse than others and some are closer to truth, but what I'm sayng is that ALL denominations bar none have some degree of false teachings.

In the Old Testament, God brought judgment on Judah and Jerusalem and the Temple was overrun by the Babylonians because the ‘high places’ were not taken down. High Places in the O.T. were places where worship of false gods took place. Read the Book of Kings and you’ll see that either the King was described as a wicked King or a good King but if he was was a good King the Bible still says that he didn’t remove the High Places. (1Ki 15:14, 2Ki 12:3, 2Ki 14:4). Eventually that was it, because (in case anyone didn't/doesn't know) God is a jealous God (Exd 20:5, Exd 34:14).

In the New Testament corporate churches and congregations, there were no hills with Baal worship or anything like that (that I know of) in a physical sense, but remember that the Bible is a spiritual book. High Places are any false ideas that are held by denominations that are not true to the Word of God. Consider the following verse:

2Cr 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ

Churches all have the Bible, but they test their beliefs against the church confessions rather than testing it against the Bible, so they hold their beliefs (and what are ideas of men from when their denomination was founded) up high along with the Bible and again let me emphasize that God is a jealous God.

There's a great deal more that could be written about this but that's the short version.

Stop listening to your own voices and opinions and get down on your knees. Now is the Day of Salvation. Now is still the time we can cry out to God for mercy. We might even die in our sleep, or smash our car against a tree on the road home from this internet point. Now is the moment to turn to God, with a broken and contrite heart which He has assured us He will not despise. Psalm 51:17
Read all of Psalm 51. It's edifying.

I have come to realize in my travels that wherever there is Truth, there is controversy. When Christ began his ministry he brought division amongst the Jews because he preached the Truth... And they didn't want to hear it. Well, history repeats itself and the Bible clearly teaches that the churches of our day will go apostate and will be given up to the man of sin.

Yeah, it's a hard pill to swallow if your still in the churches...

Indeed, Christ brings division, not unity to the world... So one of the true tests for me concerning Truth is a) is it controversial and b) is it popular or mainstream in it's acceptance.

We all know that date setting is controversial but what's interesting to note here is that Camping's teachings are not popular or mainstream at all. In fact, many would consider his teachings blasphemous. But this is a characteristic of Truth as Jesus was also accused of blasphemy.

In short, God's teachings throughout the bible have never been popular or accepted... They have always been shocking, misunderstood and mysterious. Also, God always gave his true believers the EXACT timing before His wrath was unleashed upon the earth. Why wouldn't He do the same with our generation?

Truly the Bible was written in such a way as to give the appearance of contradictions... But ultimately, there must be one Truth. If He wanted us to remain in the dark about his coming, he wouldn't have commanded us to keep watch, or give us so much other information concerning his return.

For those of you who violently object May 21, 2011 you need to ask yourself why? Do you love this world more than you would like to meet your Lord and Savior? I would think the true believer's response to hearing such news would be one of joy! Even if you were skeptical, hearing such news should prompt investigation, rather than flat out rejection.

I for one have not heard so much revelation come out of the bible in over 40 years. It is refreshing to hear the Truth being preached... Especially when I see preachers on television SELLING everything they preach... "By my CD on Salvation" or "Order my new book for only $19.95" - what a sham... I could just imagine Jesus overturning the money changers tables in the temple... It is so clear to me now how far the churches have come from Truth that it's no wonder Satin is in full control there... But they don't see it because they have been given a strong delusion.

Some will see, many will not see but it makes no difference. The day is coming whether we like it or not so we can embrace it or reject it... It makes no difference to God because He has already chosen who His elect are, and we cannot force His hand to save us even if we ask Him too. (yet another hard pill to swallow for many). For many are called, but few are chosen.

I invite those of you to at least look at the other side of the coin before you flat out reject what you have only heard on the surface.

The bible clearly says that Lord will come like a thief in the night. GGBIW, while I agree with you as I've read back through this entire blog, we have to be real careful in presenting this to people. I promise you this is not being judgmental, but your comments come across as uninviting and closed. The elect have received a mercy that is unwarranted and undeserved and with knowing the truth comes a great responsiblity. Teach of course, but be mindful that the one you are teaching is someone who can be truly seeking and not a person of judgement. I guess what I mean to say is your constant, "only the elect", "God has shown me", thing is not very welcoming. It almosts begets animosity...after all, who wants to learn from a know it all. Most importantly recognize, God can open your eyes to many, many, many truths...doesn't mean you are Elect. You my friend are still at His feet and are as filthy as the unsaved man...

You are all missing the point. Jesus called us to follow God's ways. Read Matthew 7-9. What does it say? Jesus began to teach them. What was he teaching them? How to read scriptures to set a date? He was teaching them how God wants us to live. The message is still the same, but we would rather spend our time doing things that don't bring any glory to God. You can argue your points until you are blue in the face but if you aren't doing what Jesus taught us to do, you are saying that I don't really believe in Jesus. Do you trust that God's way of living is the right way? Then go and do it.

The Bible looks opaque when a person first reads it. There is no single verse where a date is spelled-out for the casual reader. The information has to be pieced together, following the Bible's own rules for coming to understanding, by comparing scripture with scripture. There is actually a wealth of time information mentioned throughout the Bible, and it is not there just for coloring or for completeness of the historical record. Each time reference, each number in the Bible, in fact, is actually written-out in words, and those words are perfect, as are all of the words in the original languages. They are meant to be studied, like any other words in the Bible.

The opening-up of the time information in the Bible started thus: Harold Camping noticed that if we take the immense life-spans of the early-Earth patriarchs, given in Genesis 5 and 11, and other places, and if we notice that the word seen in these passages, linking one patriarch to the next, "begat" or "beget" (the Hebrew word is, transliterated, "yalad") is sometimes used in the Bible to refer to a multi-generational linkage between a progenitor and their descendant and not always a single-generation father-to-son relationship, it is **possible** that the patriarch following the former could have been born in the year that the preious patriarch died. Therefore, it was possible that these immense life-spans were meant to be laid end-to-end, which would give us an accurate calendar of the history of the world from Creation.

The proof is in the pudding. It turned out that there is enough time information in the Bible to link all the Bible events, and enough to link us to modern times. Once we found the dates of those Biblical events, such as the time of "Jacob's Trouble" (from Jeremiah 30:7) when Jacob was forced to leave the Promised Land and live in Egypt due to famine, which is the first of the 3 events in the Bible called "great tribulation" (in Greek, "megas thlipsos" -- not always translated that way in English, so that people missed it), we could see that God sets these events at interesting intervals from each other. These time intervals follow patterns that God has set, and refers to in the Bible (such as Daniel 12:11's 1,290 days). It turns out that from the midpoint of the first "great tribulation" to the midpoint of the second (Jerusalem taken captive to Babylon), exactly 1,290 *years* elapsed. There are exactly 2 * 1,290 (2,580) years from that second mid-point to 1994, the midpoint of the third and final Great Tribulation.

That's just an example part of it. It turns out that when you have the calendar placed properly, it opens up everything in the Bible. You also get confirmation time-interval-paths to the end of the world, complete with large prime numbers as multiplicative factors, such as 43, 37, 23, and 17, that keep appearing in the Bible, and which God gives spiritual meaning to. We are not finding factors that aren't already known as having spiritual value in the Bible -- **all** of the factors are used in the Bible! It is astronomically unlikely that these same few prime numbers would keep showing up in these calulations unless we had discovered truth.

I hope you carefully study it out now. The numbers are really in there, and you can check it out for yourself.

It all hinges on Harold Camping. So if God has revealed so much truth to him, when did the real truth begin? Not in 1994, not when he taught hell, not when he pointed people to go to church. When did the real truth emerge? Is it real truth today or will it change tomorrow? Answer this question, if God determined before we were created, who He was going to save, wouldn't that be judgment day? Aren't we already judged for salvation? What judgment is going to occur on May 21? Shouldn't you call it something other than judgment day?

You posted "Answer this question, if God determined before we were created, who He was going to save, wouldn't that be judgment day? Aren't we already judged for salvation? What judgment is going to occur on May 21? Shouldn't you call it something other than judgment day?"

It is a wonderful thing to ask these questions...let me hopefully and prayerfully give you the answers...

When God determined whom He was going to save was in fact, a Judgement Day, however, that Judgement was for His chosen and that price has already been paid, by His Son. The Judgement spoken of at the last day is for the Church...corporate. So while there is only one Judge and therefore, one Judgement, the chosen have been convicted and released. The church unfortunately, will not have that option.

All blessings...KEEP READING THE BIBLE and PRAY. You are seeking and that is a wonderful thing my friend.

So if God determined who He was going to save, He also determined who He was not going to save. Judgment was determined for both at the same time. The last day really isn't judgment day, it should be called a day that reveals who is saved. If there isn't anything that anyone can do to change which group they are in, judgment is finished.

The only reason I said everything hinges on Harold Camping is because that is what yet7days said - The opening-up of the time information in the Bible started thus: Harold Camping noticed that if we. . . When did the real truth begin?

Anonymous said...

None of our understanding of Judgment Day (the period May 21, 2011 through October 21, 2011, when God keeps His promise to finally destroy this first, fallen, iteration of our universe and everything in it that has not been saved out of it), none of this knowledge, depends upon Harold Camping. It does happen, however, that throughout history, God has chosen an individual here or there to deliver His warning of impending destruction. From the overwhelming evidence, God definitely chose Harold Camping to deliver at least part of this message for our era. However, it could have been anybody. In fact, many times in these past few years, there have been time-duration-paths/proofs or correction to existing doctrinal understanding that have been coming to light from other people, usually people who have learned of Judgment Day from what Harold Camping has been given by God to publish. They have written to Camping with this new information. Camping has been corrected in this way, and once he has seen that they are right, he has taught the new understanding. Camping is definitely still the focal point for the dissemination of these new points of understanding. That's just how God seems to be working in our day.

Let me say that I would not follow Camping or any other man blindly. I check these things out for myself, and do an exhaustive job of it before I can come to agree on any point. God has been correcting me, not Camping.

Another interesting thing I heard Camping say a couple of years ago is that he had learned through research that he was not the only person to discover the Calendar of History that is largely embodied in Genesis chapters 5 and 11. There was another man who discovered it at roughly the same time period that he did, the mid-1960s. The other man did not get much publicity for it since he wasn't the president of a radio network. God started opening the end-time portion of the Bible at that time, and evidently any true believer who trusted every word in the Bible as factual and who put in the determined effort to study it all out could have seen the same thing.

Now, about the nature of Judgment and why it is called the Day of Judgment, the meaning of the word judgment includes not just adjudication of guilt or innocence, but also *payment* of the penalty for the crime. God refers to sinners as owing a debt, and Judgment Day actually refers not to the adjudication but to the execution of that judgment, which is the forcible payment of the debt that is owed. The debt owed is death, finally and utterly to be destroyed, so complete and over-with that it will never be undone. The word fits, but has been misunderstood in the past.

But who is it judgment day for? Anyone who dies before May 21, 2011 has received their judgment - death. They won't experience any of the wrath that you keep talking about. They are dead and are not aware of anything. Doesn't Mr. Camping teach that the real punishment is being separated from God? But if you are in the unsaved group, you are separated from the moment you are born. You never had to chance to turn away from God, because you never were in fellowship with God to begin with. Does that mean that we are all really being punished for Adam's sin?

The Lord judges every day.He is calling His elect out of the church and into His Holy Bible. By this command He is seperating the wheat and tares. On Judgement day His chosen go directly into Heaven as their sins are forgiven. Those not raptured are judged the same day as they are left behind. The dead in Jesus Christ rise first and those living in Jesus Christ are caught up with them the day of the rapture. The unsaved bones are thrown out of the graves thrown on the ground and will not be buried. Those unsaved left behind will suffer 5 months of the Lord's wrath. Judgement day is May 21,2011.God's Holy Word is sharper than any two edged sword, cutting to the very soul, either to Salvation,or Damnation.Trust no man's interpretation of God's inerrant, infallible, perfect Holy Word, rather come humbly to His Holy Bible praying He give you the wisdom to understand.Dead dog that I am,that is what I do.there are 561 days left to Plead to God Almighty,Jesus Christ for Mercy. I say this in love. To God be ALL the Glory. ggbiw

That was a good Camping answer, but you didn't answer any of the questions that I asked. If the unsaved are punished from the day that they are born, are they being punished for Adam's sins? To judge someone is to determine whether they are guilty or innocent. You say that has occurred already and there is nothing we can do to change which group we are in. So again I ask the question, what judgment occurs on May 21, 2011? Would it be more truthful to say that judgment will be revealed?

You can't have truth be both ways. If we are judged from the foundation of the earth, there isn't anything that we do or don't do to change which group we are in. If you tell people that by crying for mercy, that will change which group they are in, then judgment did not take place as you state. If crying for mercy has no effect on the outcome, why do it? Either your message is there is nothing that you do or there is something that you do. You can't have it both ways. By doing something are you trying to prove which group you are in? Is it to prove to people that you are elect?

The other thing that I find curious is that the enemy that you are to hate is the church. I really don't hear talk about the world in general, it is all about the church. I have to insert a quote here that I find amazingly to the point.

In order to rally people, governments need enemies. They want us to be afraid, to hate, so we will rally behind them. And if they do not have a real enemy, they will invent one in order to mobilize us.

Thich Nhat Hanh
Vietnamese Buddhist Monk, Author

Isn't that what Mr. Camping has done. When his 1994 prediction failed and people weren't so enthusiastic about him anymore, he created an enemy for people to hate. Listen to his rallying cry - Leave the church, listen to Family Radio. You have all done exactly what he wants you to do - hate. Hate and fear is a powerful tool that will always enjoins people. Hate your enemy the church, give all your allegiance to Family Radio. That is the message that is repeated day after day, night after night. Listen closely to who Mr. Camping tells you the enemy is. Listen closely to who you are to give your allegiance to. It isn't just read your Bible, it is read your Bible with Family Radio's teachings beside you.

Anonymous, you are starting to merely argue against God for being bigger and more powerful than you are. You and I are only humans, with little minds that cannot capture an entire understanding of the nature of God. You are complaining that you don't understand how we are sinners from our conception, and yet somehow not condemned for Adam's sins but for our own. Join the club. None of us quite understands how that works (because our minds are too limited to grok it), but yet, God tells us that it is so, so we know it is true. No human being is condemned to their own death by Adam's sin, but for their own sins (yes, even the unborn babies). Yet, we cannot escape being the children of Adam and Eve, sinners, and our hearts are foul, lying organs from inception, because that's what we inherit. We sin because we are sinners, and for those sins we die. Know also this, that in Adam's position, we would have done the exact same thing. In fact, in principle we did, because we were all in the loins of Adam when he sinned.

God does not judge us for any sin until we commit it in the here-and-now.

Nothing we do can get us saved, but neither do we know whether we are Elect or not. The fact also is, God *commands* us to cry out to Him for salvation, and He isn't a sadist that likes to see people squirm. We are, but *He* is not. Therefore, we know that there *is* hope, and though we cannot understand how salvation works, we do know that God informs us that those who end up becoming saved all are found crying to God for mercy at some point. In other words, just get with the program. Obey God when He commands you to seek Him. It can't be a bad idea to determine at least in this one area to refrain from the sin of disobeying God; remember, it *is* a sin to refrain from begging God for salvation, because it is a command placed upon *all* of us to cry out to Him for His mercy. Quit trying to understand how it works before you just beg Him (and keep it up, never despairing), because that is human pride, and it is most deadly to us.

I say all this with as much humility of which I am capable, not hubris. Please, please, listen -- we're not hear to make ourselves puffed up. We're here because we're just trying to obey God in sounding the alarm, because to refuse to do so is a bad sign. It is a sign we don't want to emit, because if we're still being regularly disobedient to God's commands on the last day when the Day of Salvation expires, it will mean that we were never part of the Elect. We want to keep working, working to obey God, yes. No, we're not working for salvation, because we know that doesn't work, but we're just hoping here, anyway, praying and trying to quit being disobedient, and hoping for salvation.

I'll shut up now.

Wow, did you read what you wrote? Now tell me again, am I judged for my sin or Adam's? Did judgment take place before the world was created or are we judged for our sins? After reading your explanation, I guess you really don't know what you believe.

GGBIW said...

What does the Holy Bible say about judging another person? What is it that you believe? Is it in harmony with the Holy Bible? What does it mean that the names in the book of life were there at the foundations of the world? Can you earn your way into heaven or is it a gift of God Almighty. Are you equal with The Lord Jesus Christ that you can tell someone what they think? Take a look in the mirror, that is the person you can examine. What does it mean that God's sheep hear His voice and do not listen to any other voice? What does it mean that He calls them by name? I will no longer respond to someone that judges another and hides behind anonymous. To God be all the Glory. Not anonymous, I'm ggbiw.

God ultimately does the judging for eternal life. You can call everyone who doesn't buy into the date predicted by Harold Camping unsaved, but then you complain that I am judging. I don't think that I have ever called anyone unsaved. Take the log out of your eye first.

I thought I said as clearly as I could what I believe about salvation and judgment, what we can know and what we cannot know, before salvation's true assurance comes to us from God's Holy Spirit through His Word. We cannot know *how* it works, and that insults our pride. Aww, poor baby.

GGIBW is right. Anonymous, you have been railing against good teaching of sound doctrine for long enough. We are not supposed to try to argue anyone into the kingdom of God. That would be us exercising our own pride again, and it is a sin. The Bible says not to cast our pearls before swine. It further tells us that if a town refuses the gospel, to shake the dust of that town off our feet as a testimony against those people when we leave it. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to answer any more of your asinine questions, which demonstrate that you are not enduring sound doctrine, any more, Anonymous. Honest questions from seekers, sure. I was just listening to a sermon from a local pastor and he made the point that the Bible was not inspired by God to become a book of information. The purpose of the Bible is to transform our lives. It is interesting what happens when we make information the goal and not transformation.

Anonymous said...

It has been interesting to see the vast amount of information that Family Radio produces. I think that it can be overwhelming when it becomes information for the sake of information. The purpose of the Bible is to transform people. Unless all the information is transforming people's lives, it becomes just that - information. Take note how many times Family Radio uses the word information and how few times they use the word transformation. Listen to the explanation that is given why 1994 didn't happen - we didn't have all the information. When I ask how all this information has transformed your life, the answer always seems to be that now I hunger for more information. Is your life consumed with studying for the purpose of having more knowledge to be able to argue your point better or is it to live a transformed life? Do you worry about understanding the latest teachings or do you develop caring relationships with people who need your love? Think about how Jesus, who knew all, related with people and then think about how we, who pretend to know all but really don't, relate to people. We want to throw mountains of informatioon at them without taking time to even know anything about them. Take time to read all the tracts that are posted on ebiblefellowships website. I don't think that in all the information, I read anything about living a transformed life. Think about what the fruits of the spirit are - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. That is a life transformed by the Bible.

The bible teaches that MANY people who think they are saved and are doing God’s work are not saved.

Matt. 7:21-23
Not everyone who says unto me, Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you, depart from me, ye that work inquity.
The only people Jesus could be talking about in this scripture are so-called religious people! Folks in the sinful world are not going around saying…..”Lord, Lord’…..

The people Jesus is describing here are NOT some “lukewarm,middle-of-the-road quasi-christian bench warmers” either. They are very zealous, religious types who consider themselves very active and devoted to their work for the Lord!!!

Who could these people be except some staunch religious type? Whether they be Camping’s listeners, or are today’s church going Christians, either way -- this scripture clearly teaches that someone who THINKS they have it the right has it seriously wrong!!! Someone who is very active in teaching God’s word and doing what they think is God’s work is doing it wrong. And God is going to tell them -- I NEVER KNEW YOU!!!! So the Camping issue about the churches seems viable – I’m not saying he’s right, but THERE DOES COME A TIME WHEN Matt 7:21-23 is applicable. Note – the people in this scripture are surprised to find this out! They don’t know that all their work means nothing in God’s eyes. Who is Jesus talking about in Matt 7:21-23?

GGBIW said...

vvmorr said...

Camping an end time Prophet?

I don't know about that. I find the way he manages the calls on Open Forum very disconcerting.
Here we have a person telling us the end of the world will come on 5/21/2011 -- and he qives callers so little time to ask questions. He (or someone at FR) often "MUTES" callers [ I for one know I have tried to ask the simpliest follow-up question to no avail ].
Camping dominates the conversation and rarely, if ever, allows the caller [ or listener ] to develop a full train of thought so we can get traction or flow on this all-important-topic.
If the Bible is an example of how Prophets behaved, then Camping, who is shielded from having a real "exchange of ideas" on this topic is doing us a disservice.
He says we are not to be in the church, but the Church is where teachers would be -- a place where we could ask QUESTIONS!!!! and ask FOLLOW-UP QUESTIONS, which are customary in in learning environment. We don’t have access to teachers, and our access to the one teacher of 2011 is extremely inassessible, and there is no one else in the entire world who can teach this topic.
What kind of set-up is this? 1 call a month that doesn’t even allow a follow-up question?
I realize it's a public program and to be fair you have to limit a callers time. However, Camping is not just limiting callers time -- it seems more like he is preventing callers from really delving into the topic beyond what he wants to explore.
There should create another program on FR that allows a person to ask deep probing questions that follow a train of thought without being interrupted so we can get full color on a topic.
Camping also shuts down opposing views extremely quick. I think I could benefit from hearing opposing views -- and having their view points played out, and hearing the answers Camping would give to such callers. That is teaching. That would be an open forum.
Instead,we have 1.5 hrs of snippets on 2011 -- and Camping’s BOOKS. Snippets and Camping's book which explain his position. That just doesn't seem like a fair way to discuss the end of the world. I think he should really be in the market place and let people ask the hard questions. Otherwise, it seems like he is protecting himself from some flaw he doesn't want exposed.
Another point that I find very confusing is that in all of Family Radio, there is not one other person who can discuss this topic with the public? If the time line and bible text is as strong as Camping says, can he not lay this info out to one of his staffers so that they can take the message outside of Open Forum?
No disrespect to Mr. Camping, I have learned a tremendous amount from him, but his idea that Open Forum and his books are sufficient vehicles for learning about 2011 disturbs me.
I think Camping should be having townhall type meetings where people can face him with these questions. Yes, I know he is not a young man. Then he should have by now, taught someone enough about 2011 that they can assist him in getting this message out in a freer format. Open Forum is highly restrictive and a big source of frustration.
If after all these years, there is not one or more people, who have been affiliated with and FR long enough to intelligently discuss 2011, then I think that says a lot. Why isn't there one single FR voice other than Camping that can help support this message!

Is Camping an end times prophet?
I don't know. I ask God for guidance on this topic all the time.
If you live

Per Camping, you can't just read the bible and get the info he is teaching. He says it took him 50+ years to develop the timeline.

God gave us teachers because its not always clear the lessons we are to learn.

Noah had to address people face-to-face, and I will guess it probably wasn't always easy.

My opinions about Camping is because the format of the Open Forum as the primary means for understanding this info seems to be uneven. Anyone who hears the program would tend to agree.

As stated, I value Camping in many ways, but in this area, I think he is not applying an even hand.

vvmorr said...

Also, if Camping's 2011 message was merely based on reading the bible, why would he need to write 4+ books explaining it?

Apparently, Mr. Camping thought folks needed assist in understanding this complex info. btw, he never misses an opportunity to tell callers that all of this info, end of the church age, 2011, no hell, etc... is very, very complex.

So when you say "just read the bible", I think you are being naieve, or is that just you trying to be sarcastic?

How many of Campings books have you read?

Is there any example in the bible where God gave a message to a prophet that was unclear? If 1994 was partial information, is there any example that God did that before? Did a prophet proclaim something and then have to say I didn't have it right?

If you choose to believe Harold Camping, that is your business. The problem is you judge the world by what he teaches. You call anyone who doesn't believe his teachings unsaved and then you tell people not to judge. If he is God's prophet, why did God give him false understanding for so many years? For many years, Harold Camping told peoople that if they followed strict reformed teaching, they were elect. Now all those people that he called elect 25 years ago are now unsaved. I thought that you could never lose your salvation. Did HE judge people wrong then? Who gave him the authority to pass judgment on anyone? If God created man, then God has the right to judge what He created. Don't end up being like the other son in the story of the prodigal son. He didn't think that it was fair for the father to forgive. You preach that God will destroy everyone who doesn't agree with Harold Camping. Are you giving counsel to God? Did you create man? Is it your decision how God treats his creation? You will stand before Him and I will stand before Him. My life will not be compared to your life and judgment rendered on that basis. Judgment begins for me in my heart. You cannot know my heart, only God does.

Why don't you answer my questions about how many of Campings books have you read?

When I expressed my confusion about his 2011 teachings and the limited access people have to discuss this topic with the sole teacher teaching it, you said "just read the bible".

My statement was that, if this 2011 teaching could be explained and understood by just reading the bible, why did Camping need to write 4+ books to explain it? And further, I asked, if you had ready any of Camping's books on 2011?

I would guess you have.

I have read several of Campings books on 2011 and I still have LOTS of questions, so please don't pass the 2011 teachings off as simply a bible read.

And to clarify, real believers understand that you don't have to understand 2011 to be saved. The bibel scriptures in Jhn 10 that say "My sheep hear my voice and come to me", is very clear in its understanding -- unlike Camping's 2011 timeline, and doubling of numbers and giving symbolism to numbers that one could spend a lifetime collecting and substantiating.

I have already said that Camping is a tremendous teacher, that I have learned a lot from him. Furhter, I have said, that I don't say that 2011 is not accurate. I am simply stating that his method and the format is sorely lacking.

YOu, on the other hand, are trying to say, this info can be understood by reading the bible alone -- and I am saying, that:

1 - if 2011 was understood simply by reading the bible alone, Camping would not have needed to write so many books explaining his understanding.

2 - I would venture to guess, that you too have read a few of Camping's 2011 books, which I think, most people who agree with him on 2011 have done [ not all, but I would guess most people have read at least a few of his books on this topic to make sense of how he came to his findings ].

Therefore, why would you try and over simplify this complex info (even Camping says its complex) for those who are trying to understand?

Yes, God opens the eyes of those He chooses to open. But the bible also expects us to seek, study, search, and pray -- but seeking is one of the steps.

Does any believer need more than the bible to get saved? NO!

But if you have a teacher saying the end of the world is 2011, should you not have an opportunity to examine his message in a fair format?

Answer the question, have you read any of Camping's 2011 books?

1 - I don't know if Camping's 2011 is true or not.

2 - That Camping is a very good teacher and I have learned much from him.

You appear to take some measure in appearing "persecuted" when no persecution is being levied at you.

I ask that you read your earlier post where you state "Just read the bible" in connection to my comments that the Open Forum and the method Camping and FR use for disseminating the 2011 teachings is frustrating.

If you listen to FR, then there is not doubt in my mind that you know what I am speaking of. Many, many, callers address this defect to Camping very often.

If you don't listen to Camping, then you would not address my comments on the inefficiency of the FR process, as you would not know how it doesn't work.

In summary, I am someone seeking truth by studying this topic directly from the bible, as well as well as others who might have some insight.

and night in his temple:and he that sitteth
on the throne shall dwell among them.

1 corinthians ch11.v28. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that
bread,and drink of that cup.
v29.For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to
himself,not discerning the Lord's body.
v30.For this cause many are weak and sickley among you,and many sleep.
v31.For if we would judge ourselves,we should not be judged.
v32.But when we are judged,we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be
condemned with the world.

2 Corinthians ch13.v5. Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith;prove your
own selves.Know ye not your own selves,
how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

John ch.14.v15.If you love me,keep my commandments.
v21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them,he it is that loveth me:and he
that loveth me shall be loved of my Father,
and I will love him,and will manifest myself to him.

Joshua ch1.v8.This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth;but thou
shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according
to all that is written therein:for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and
thou shalt have good success.

A child of God will keep His commandments, one of them being to seek our
Salvation day and night examining ourselves with
fear and trembling daily, the result being we will serve Him in Eternity. "Dear
Lord Guide all of us to Your Glory and Your Glory only,
help us to forsake pride so that we can come before you blameless, keeping your
commandments, demonstrating our love for you. This I pray
knowing ALL things are possible through my Lord Jesus,His will before my
own,Amen." ggbiw

When did fulfilling God's law change from loving God with all your heart, mind and soul and your neighbor as yourself to proclaim an end date and leave your church? You talk about preaching the gospel, but your gospel is different than the gospel that was preached by the apostles.

GGBIW said...

What I preach is what my Lord has revealed to me ALL from His Holy Bible. The book sealed in Daniel was not open to the apostles. It was for them to build the church as the Lord Jesus rejected and divorced the church of that day just as he is rejecting the church of our day and calling His chosen into His Holy Bible. I have already posted scripture on this forum about satan ruling the church. You can either trust your church or obey God Almighty and come out of the church and into His Holy Bible. He is seperating the wheat and tares by this command.Jesus is calling His sheep home. 548 days left to pray to God Almighty,Jesus Christ for Salvation. Not anonymous, I put my Handle on my posts as I am not ashamed to do so. ggbiw

Something for you to think about -
The Jewish people in Jesus day thought that because they were God's chosen people, God would protect them from being destroyed by the Romans. Remember Jesus telling them about peace and safety? If you read Josephus' War of the Jews, you will see how the leaders told them to stay in Jerusalem rather than flee the city because God would not allow Jerusalem or the temple to be destroyed. All the warnings that Jesus gave them really did happen exactly as he said. Maybe if you would take the time to read that account of the destruction of Jerusalem, you would think that maybe Harold Camping isn't really the end time prophet you think he is. Flee to the mountains was a literal warning given to the people. Those that heeded the warning were not killed. The mountains were the mountains. The abomination that makes desolate was the Roman leader who came into the city, into the temple and for an unknown reason to the writer, left the city before beginning the long seige on Jerusalem. So when you see the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place, flee the city. Do not take time to gather your possesions, flee. Do yourself a favor and take the time to read some accounts of the destruction of Jerusalem.

First, Anonymous, please get yourself an ID; it's only decent, since we're discussing Christian things and it's just not right to keep hiding behind anonymity in a discussion where we are discussing Christ. I leave that to your conscience.

Second, the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans isn't what is being talked about in Matthew 24, and we certainly know that by verse 3, where the disciples ask Jesus in a single sentence about the destruction of the temple and about the end of the world. They were already connecting these two things, and Jesus answered, without correcting them about that, therefore affirming that they were speaking about the same time. There can be no doubt, therefore, that Jesus was talking about an event *other* than the literal destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans.

MATTHEW 24:3: And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

Third, the books that Mr. Camping wrote are **Bible studies**, and they will, if carefully read with a Bible beside them to verify what is being said, speed a person's understanding of what is in the Bible by at least several years. Do you also want to take 50 years of the intense study that it took for Camping to learn what is in those books? Camping, as anyone who learns anything from the Bible, is duty-bound to let others know what they found, to teach others if they can. Do you not appreciate teachers in mathematics, physics or history? Obviously you do. Well, this is also true of the Bible. If you want to reinvent the wheel, go right ahead. Oh, yeah, we're running out of time and nobody else has 50 years to learn it. If you want to know today, you have to listen to what we've already learned. You still have to learn it for yourself, by verifying that it really is what the Bible is teaching. The Holy Spirit must show that to you. Nobody should believe anything because Harold Camping tells it to them. They take that teaching, and they open their own Bible, and they let God tell them if it is true. Not everyone will see that it is true, because the Holy Spirit does not want to save *everybody*, just the ones He has chosen. The others will simply be unable to see or believe the connections between the various verses at the various places in the Bible that have been pointed out. I am grateful to God that I *do* see these connections, and the big picture that all of these puzzle pieces form when they are all placed together in the right, interlocking locations.

Fourth, the Open Forum is not a casual discussion program. It used to be that way, back in the '70s when I started listening. Mr. Camping was much younger then, and was well able to put up with the most ridiculous questions, and had the sharpest mind I have ever witnessed. He could out-debate **anybody**. Today, he is very old, fragile, hard-of-hearing, but still has a sharp mind. He can still answer anybody's question, but cannot undergo a protracted debate session the way he used to, because it is very taxing. Forgive an old man his limitations, will you? Besides, since 2000, when we learned that 2011 was absolutely going to be the end of the world, we have been on an emergency mission. There is no longer a laxity on time. It all counts now, so Mr. Camping has rightly decided to eliminate long, protracted discussions of matters that don't pertain to Judgment Day. There is no time to waste on callers' desire to expound their own false doctrines, as they want to do. It is all focused on getting out *only* the truth. No more putting up with charlatans or wolves in sheep's clothing.

Does that answer everything? Probably not.

Look at the word that is translated world in Matt. 24:3. It means a period of time, not the physical earth. The end of the age of the Jewish way did end. I don't think that anyone would argue that.

Wonderful post Yet7days.I will no longer respond to someone passing judgement and hiding behind anonymous, although God Almighty sees who is judging who.Harold is the Lord's end time prophet and I praise God for the understanding of the Holy Bible that by the scriptures Harold provides,I came to understand. This forum is focused on judging Harold, therefore I will post the sources I use for learning and started blogs that do not start with judging Harold. You are most gracious for still trying to get these anonymous people to post their internet handle for all to see,but our Lord sees everything. We can lead a person to truth, but when pride blinds them, only the Lord can remove the scales. Calculations Camping presents seem to be ok based on the Bible but many of his doctrines are questionable and that can make a reader wonder what is going to happen on May,21,2011.

He confused Jesus Christ with God Yahweh completely, saying Jesus is the Father .
The Sabbath is not only on Sunday it is each and every day of a week.We must be holy each and every day and God Yahweh makes that to happen.

The rapture is not literal . Nobody will go to heaven as the Paradise will be established on earth. That is why the wicked will be rooted out of the face of the earth.
The universe will exist after October 21,2011 for sure !The evil world order will be gone.
Camping missed 2 Peter 3 .It says over there the old world was destroyed by water ,not literally of course as the sun and moon and earth were not gone .
The new heavens and earth came into existence after the Flood and not of course not literally .
Note Camping is 100% sure the physical universe will be gone.He is dead wrong.

GGBIW said...

2 Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved to fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

GGBIW, you are right. This thread started out as a judgment against Harold Camping. Therefore, it isn't a good idea for us to waste our time here. People here have been given pointers to the entire Bible study that proves what we are saying. We have even offered several amazing proofs right in the body of this thread, proofs that simply could not happen unless what we have been directed by God to see in the Bible is correct. These proofs and the understanding that they point to are weights on everyone who has read them. They are responsible for knowing the truth. I pray that they listen and beg God for forgiveness, but nothing I say can make that happen. They keep trying to twist scripture, such as the recent attempt to subvert the purpose of Jesus on this Earth by trying to limit the application of His import to mere health and wealth of ancient Judea (Matthew 24:3 does *not* refer to the Romans destroying Jerusalem -- Jesus was here for *all* of his people, in all ethnic groups, during all time). Let them continue to do so -- they have about 18 months more to be able to engage in this wicked idiocy. I am not going to bother in such a forum fashioned merely to bash what Harold Camping and Family Radio have honestly discovered in the Bible. I am out of here -- to more profitable venues.

God chose 40 days & nights for Noah & the flood, and 40 days for Jesus in the desert, what’s w/ the no.40? These nos. must have spiritual significance, right? If God has a reason for repeating these nos., ., then there is a vast amount of bible data that few have explored.

Did you ever look at Family Stations tax return? If Mr. Camping truly believes that on May 21, 2011 he will be gone from the face of this earth, why does he beg for money from the listeners? According to the 2007 tax return, FR had 77 mil in investments. That is only publicly traded securities. Why should you send your money to him? FR has more than enough to use through 2011. Who is he leaving the money for? Who is going to run the stations when you are all raptured? Why would you have any money in reserve if you were so sure that everyone would be gone? Is the money for him in case he is left behind? Remember the line, follow the money? Maybe if you do that, you will truly see what Mr. Camping believes.

This is a very interesting topic. Is anyone still interested in discussing this?

Anonymous said...

No, May 21, 2011 is dead in the water. If you want to spend the next 18 months of your life believing something that will never happen, go right ahead. Mr. Camping's teachings are not from God and he is not an endtime prophet. He is a man who got a little too stuck on himself. He is an example of why the world laughs at christianity. He doesn't teach what Jesus taught. He has concocted his own religion and his own rules. Be patient and the truth will be revealed. After 2011, Family Radio will become like the mormons and jehovah witnesses - a new religion where they are the only ones with truth. History is being made and you can have a front row seat.

You'd like to believe that May 21, 2011 isn't the Judgment Day, but it is a fact that that date comes right from the Bible, just not as an in-the-clear statement that a casual reader can find. You have to compare scripture with scripture to learn the deep truths.

I won't bother any more with this thread, which began as a put-down of Harold Camping and the new understanding of the parts of the Bible that deal with the Time Of The End (spoken of by the prophet Daniel) that the Bible has always said would be available when the seven seals came off. If you want to discuss it further, download PalTalk www.from, then join us on Sundays (10am-1pm and 9pm-10pm, but the room is open all day for discussions between planned Bible teaching sessions) in the PalTalk chat room "EBible Fellowship" (in the Christianity section), or on Tuesday and Thursday, 10pm-11:30pm in the chat room "May 21 2011 Judgment Day" (it floats around to different sections on different nights) -- all Eastern Standard Time. You can also join the Yahoo Group "Latter_Rain", but not if you just want to blather on with standard church doctrines -- they reserve that group's posting privileges for those who are in sync with Family Radio teachings. We'll take on your questions in the PalTalk chat rooms mentioned earlier, though.

Let me say that I am a church-goer and that I read Harold's book 1994?
way back in 1992 and was completely caught up in it, and then (my fault) I proceeded to lose my credability and reputation for the ensuing years. But I must say that it was my fault because I was so sure that Christ would come back then (probably more certain than was Mr. Camping). Here I am again, and I must confess my inclination to totally get on board with this again!

This time around I am disturbed by Harold's assertion that we are sinning by attending Church. It is his 100% across-the-board concept that I find so troubling -- and I know that he is enjoying some kind of fellowship himself, are we who are attending a God-fearing congregation really supposed to simply stay home on Sundays or what? He may be right about 2011, and but I think the truth is that the Church is largely under the influence of Satan but not necessarily every congregation.

This is either a humongous error or ...

I get so tired of everyone saying that the world has never been worse than it is now. That is not true. Read history. Read about the Middle Ages. Read about the 1st century. The only difference now is that with the ability to communicate freely, our personal lives are more open to inspection than ever before. All of our secrets are revealed for the world to see. Do we value human life more than during the Middle Ages? Ask any Calvinist about why Calvin had Servatus put to death and they will tell you that it was the way the times were. That was acceptable behavior to burn someone to death. And we want to say that times have never been as bad as they are now. Open your eyes. Anyone can make you believe anything if you are willing to take their thinking as truth. That is why you have to go back to what Jesus said. Harold Camping may say that everything is from the Bible, but he twists everything into his truth. When the writers of Matthew and Mark said that Jesus said that it is not for us to know our end, that is what they meant. The Bible isn't a code book to be deciphered. Step back and really listen to the illogic in Harold Camping's explanations. And yes, it is all about Harold Camping. He claims that he has been given understanding where none was given before. So did Taze and Joseph Smith. If you didn't learn anything from 1994, then I feel sorry for you. You still are searching for the truth of Jesus. Listen to what your heart is telling you.

As far as the Latter Rain board is concerned, I really had to laugh about that. Darrell, Tom and Gary control everyone and everything on that board. They put down people and argue. If you think that they are examples of a follower of Jesus, I feel sorry for you. They are merely parrots for Harold Camping. The discussion this past week has been interesting to say the least. I will repeat what I said before. Be patient and watch what happens in 2011.

Anonymous -- thank you for taking the time to respond to my comment. I really don't know what to think of the Mr. Camping's 2011 assertion - and I really do wish to wrestle-through it and reach a conclusion. It's kind of funny ... when I first heard him speak of his new concept of Hell as simply being the grave, I sort of had one of those "ah-hah" moments and thought to myself, well he is clearly whacko on this issue so he must be wrong about 2011. My instant proof-text was Revelation 20:6 "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power...", but then I got to think about it and asked myself "what is the FIRST death?" And then I remembered 1 Corinthians 15:22 "For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive" and started thinking that Harold could be right that the second death is the sounds like I am making the case for 2011, just trying to work through it. For example, I am not comfortable discussing with friends and relatives since I don't want to be a propagater of tremendous error -- and since the Bible teaches that things that are not from faith are sin..I even feel like it could be downright sinful for me to talk about it...what a mess!
